New Vision: Make your business green to attract more capital

"Climate change is an opportunity for businesses to adopt innovative models, products and services that slow down carbon emission and preserve biodiversity". On Europe Day 2021 Eddie Sembatya, Programme Lead at UGEFA, wrote an article at New VisionĀ about how sustainability has become a relevant topic for businesses to stay competitive.

On Europe Day,Ā Eddie Sembatya, Programme Lead at UGEFA,Ā contributed to aĀ New VisionĀ article about how sustainability has become a relevant topic for businesses and central to ensuring businesses’Ā competitiveness.Ā 

Businesses are at the heart of contributing to climate change solutions, as Eddie writes. “There are many units of a business where sustainability can be measured”, including in accounting, technology, communications, production and transportation. And, as Eddie adds, sustainability is no longer an option, but a prerequisite for businesses to stay relevant and competitive.

Through the Uganda Green Enterprise Finance Accelerator, we continue to see the positive impacts of green SMEs and the development of Uganda’s impact investment environment, as Eddie reflects on the article.
