04 NOVEMBER 2020 | ONLINE
The Eleven Eleven Twelve Foundation, based in Nigeria, invited UGEFA to speak during the 2020 Green Webinar Series. The session on 04 November focused on the topic of Green Finance and explored programmes that are creating jobs and can help the region transition to green economies. The session helped the audience to understand green finance and how Nigerian youth can establish green businesses. The conversation also focused on Green Bonds and how they can be used to support medium term and long term green investments.
Eddie Sembatya, Senior Manager at UGEFA, shared opportunities to leverage the role of local financial institutions and tailored financial mechanisms to increase SMEs’ access debt finance while supporting these enterprises to align their business models to be more impact driven – driving green job creation and inclusive, sustainable development.
If you missed the webinar, you can watch a recording here (beginning at minute 35:00 for Mr Sembatya, UGEFA).
