Frequently Asked Questions Thank you for your interest in the Uganda Green Enterprise Finance Accelerator. Please find below frequently asked questions regarding the registration process and clarifications of the questions. Why do I need to register my profile on the UGEFA platform? Registering on the UGEFA platform allows you to access information and resources about the UGEFA programme. If your enterprise profile fits the UGEFA programme requirements, you can sign up for a business clinic workshop, and access a full application form to apply for the upcoming UGEFA cohort. What happens after my registration? After you have registered, the UGEFA team will check whether your enterprise profile fits the UGEFA programme requirements. If this is the case, you will receive an email with your login details to the UGEFA platform shortly after registration. Here, you will be able to sign up for a UGEFA preparatory workshop and access the full application form as soon as a Call for Applications is open. Please note that we can only accept applications during the application windows. We will inform all registered enterprises once a Call for Application has been launched. When can I register for the platform? You can register your profile for the platform at any time. We recommend for you to register your profile at least a few days ahead of cohort application deadlines so that you are able to make full use of the information and resources available for you as you fill out your application. Please note that shortly before cohort application deadlines there are increased support requests, and therefore our support team may take longer to respond. Can I submit my answers and profile information via email instead? All registrations must be submitted on the UGEFA platform. Email submissions cannot be accepted for registration purposes. If you face difficulties accessing or using the platform, please reach out to us at info@ugefa.eu and we will be happy to help. Do I need to pay to access the platform? No, you do not need to submit a payment at any point in the UGEFA registration or application process. If you receive any email or communication requesting a payment please report it to info@ugefa.eu. Can I start filling out the registration form and return to it later? Registration forms for the UGEFA platform cannot be saved and later edited, and must be submitted in one session. You will be able to later edit your profile information once your account has been registered. Should I send supporting documents (e.g. business plan) to the UGEFA team? Registration to the platform does not constitute an application for the programme. You will register to create an account for the UGEFA platform. Only with an account will you be able to apply for the programme. The UGEFA team does not accept any supporting documents for the registration process, including business plans. When do I hear whether my profile fits the UGEFA programme opportunities? Once you submit your registration form, our team will screen the information to assess whether your profile fits the current opportunities in UGEFA. This process will take a maximum of 48 hours. You will receive an email when your profile has been screened. You can then log in to the platform to browse available opportunities within the UGEFA programme. What if I did not receive a confirmation email? Upon submitting your registration form, you should receive an email that asks you to confirm your email address. If you have not received this email within 24 hours of submission, please reach out to us at info@ugefa.eu. What is the next step from here? Once your enterprise profile has been screened to find relevant UGEFA opportunities, you will be able to explore further information and resources on the UGEFA platform. If your enterprise meets our current programme requirements, you will be able to access a full application form for the upcoming UGEFA cohorts.
